Show This PC, User Files, Recycle Bin, Control Panel in Win 10 Desktop

In Windows 10 many of the settings can be managed and changed using the new Settings app which you can be found when you click the Windows logo on your taskbar and then click the Settings option.

In this article I will cover how to show This PC, User Files, Recycle Bin, Control Panel in Win 10 Desktop. So, let’s get started:

  • Once the main Setting app window by clicking/tapping the personalization group of settings option;

  • Once the personalization windows has opened,  click on Themes and then Desktop icon settings;

  • A new windows opens where you can select the items you would like to appear on your desktop. Once you are done click OK to save the changes and to close the window.

Now you should have the icons you selected on your desktop.

You can always hide the shortcuts you do not want from your desktop by un-ticking the relevant tick box or by right click on the icon on your desktop you do not need and select the delete option.
