Email in nowadays is a great tool to communicate with family, friends and associates all around the world in a matter of moments.
It is saving us time and money as we do not need to write a letter, address an envelope, buy a stamp and send it.
So why should you cancel all your unused email accounts?
But all in this world is not perfect same as in emails. Spammers and scammers rely on sent emails. Phishing and offers are often successful at separating unsuspecting recipients from their money. The worst of all is that they do it in your name.
If you have been using the Internet for a while you probably have more than one personal email account set up so far. Quite possibly one or more rarely if ever used.
Spammers love to gain access to those email accounts because they can use them to send all kinds of Spam and fake offers to potential victims while making it look like you are the culprit. And there is a great chance that you will never even know that is happening!
If you have one or more online email accounts that you rarely use and really don’t need, I suggest cancelling them straight away. In most cases it is very easy to do. Although the process varies from provider to provider, it is usually just a matter of logging into the account and looking for the Terminate Account or Cancel Account link.
If you have forgotten an unwanted email account’s login credentials, you can contact the provider’s Support department and ask them what you need to do in order to get the account closed.
Please leave your comments below with your thoughts or how many emails do you currently use.
